my maiden name was Lily Bhavna Montrose
i presently live in perth western australia. originally i am from india from a place called allahabad in northern india.
i am researching about my great grandfather who was a montrose and was killed in the mutiny in patna in 1857. I do not have any more info about him not even what he was called.
my grandfather Benjamin David Montrose was a Urdu poet quite surprisingly considering the scottish ancestry.
some of the urdu poetry is publsihed but there is not much info about him in the books he was also called MUZTAR ALLAHABADI
my fathers name is Lawrence Arthur Montrose, my uncles Robert Bruse Montrsoe and George Michael Montrose and daughters Mildred montrsoe and Lilian Agnes Montrose all born in Allahabad a town in northern india.
iI do know that we are the only known Montrose family of India any information will be appreciated
