I'm coming late to the discussion, but I have a family history given to me by my grandmother that has Montross and Wurden in it. Unfortunately, I can verify none of it, but I'll give what I have below, just in case it rings a bell for someone.
KarenL - Town of Clinton, Dutchess County

Samuel Montross m. Phebe Ann Velder
(he d. 11/1808 ; she d. 11/1824 - I assume both are buried in Town of Clinton somewhere)
