Searching for ggrandfather John Moore born in Massachussets in the late 1800's
He married Elizabeth Grierson in 1911 in Rhode Island
He was in the US Navy and died in California in 1939.

Looking for information on great-Grandparents and their ancestors.

OLE O. MOO was born Ole O. MOE June 24, 1846 in Solør, Norway, and died 1921 in Enderlin, Ransom County, ND. He married MARY OLSON November 20, 1877 in Plainview, Wabasha County, MN, daughter of MR. OLSON. She was born 1859 in MN, and died July 09, 1932 in Enderlin, Ransom County, ND.

Immigrated in 1872. Moved to Ransom County, ND in 1881. Had twelve children Marian, Martin, Lillian and Andrew died before 1921. William, Clara (Mrs. Edward Kemmer), George (later change his name back to Moe), Martha (Mrs. Harry W. Johnson), Edna (Mrs. C. Bert Blanchard), Florence (Mrs. Malcolm F. Tewmey), and Ivan and Laura.

Ole’s parents were Olaf and Sophie Moe, born in Norway. His siblings were Olive (Mrs. Jake Guaard), Sophia, born April 01, 1852 in Solør, Norway; died June 09, 1932 in Davenport, Cass County, ND; married Olaf Larsen Salberg 1871 in Norway; born January 07, 1840 in Solør, Norway; died September 28, 1923 in Davenport, Cass County, ND., Karen Moe, born August 20, 1854 in Solør, Norway; died February 13, 1937 in Davenport, Cass County, ND; married Amon Berge; born 1864; died 1954 in Davenport, Cass County, ND., Gina Moe, born 1859 in Norway; died 1953; married (1) Andrew M. Johnson; born May 23, 1854; died February 04, 1890; married (2) Emil Johnson; born 1865; died 1937.
Levia Moe, born 1862 in Norway. and Martin Moe, born 1865 in Norway; married Matilda Blatman.

Yep - I'd say we are Cousins.

We are related!

Going back to Olaf (Oluf) Salberg/Solberg married to Sofia/Sofie/Sophie Moe (my maternal g-g-g-grandparents);

Their daughter, Sophia/Sofia Moe married to Ole Larsen Salberg (my maternal great great grandparents), her brother is your Ole O. Moe

Moe & Salberg's daughter, Eunice Adele Salberg married to Ralph Laurald Bickford (my maternal great grandparents, both deceased here in Washington State);

Salberg & Bickford's daughter, Rita Bickford is my maternal grandmother who is deceased here in Washington State.

I would like to gather more info about MOO/MOE line. I have some pictures but was unable to identify them.

Hi from another Salberg cousin!

My great-great-grandparents are also Olaf and Sophia Salberg - my great-grandfather is Norton. My dad is a first cousin of Emmett Salberg, Jr.

I would love to see any pictures anyone has. I don't have a lot of extra information beyond what can be found on Scott Salberg's site but I'd be glad to share anything I can.

Yes, I've seen that page...I contributed a lot of that information! I haven't heard from Scott in awhile and I need to talk to him to update that web page!!
So, you and I are second cousins! Our grandparents, Martin and Sadie were brother and sister!!!

HI : My name is Marlyce and I think maybe we KIN a long way back .. There are truly many MOO/MOEs and Salberg s they seem to all be connected (ha) MY dad was Percival Martel Salberg his Dad was Martin O Salberg and his dad was OLUF Salberg BUT looks as if it also was spelled Solberg . Olufs wife was Sofie Moe maybe u can enlighten me some as too if we are related ?? so see oluf was my gr grand father I think thats how it works Be awaiting a reply if u have any info Thanks Marlyce (marliemoe) (salberg) Blain as of now ...

HI; I think maybe some where down the traill we are kin folk.. Perhaps long way bk as from what I know Gina Moe was a great aunt to me.... She lived in Davenport which I was Born Well, Casselton to a Percival M.Salberg Whos Father was Martin O Salberg IM not sure how to do any of this IM checking in so many diff places I lose sight of where IVE been (ha) Maybe if u would like u can Email me and maybe we can fig out if we are related Thanks for your Time Marlyce

HI there : I got your reply sorry if it has taken me so long to ans.. IM really confused as I know nothing of how and where to get all info.. I am Salberg by birth I do have some paper work I have gotten over the COMP.. and from a few relatives.. Do u have an E mail addy? Somehow the name Salberg was many names or MOE/MOO was relatives along the way . Well HI there: My Father was Percival M Salberg his Dad was Martin and Martins Dad was OLAF so we are related some where down the line (ha) OLAF was my GREAT Grandpa I sorta recall a name Waters I keep Sadie but then I was young at that time..
