My father was Lawrence Dwight Brogdon b. 1920 married to Delores Mae Hill Cole b. 1929.
His father was William Cain Brogdon b. 1898 married to Edna Arvester Cope b. 1901.
His father was Samuel Winfield Brogdon b. 1860 married to Martha Graves b. 1862.
His father was Thomas Brogdon b. 1820 married 1st to Nancy Simmons & 2nd to Elvira Moorefield.
I was told that Elvira was bound out to Wm. H. Bates in 1834 & to Joseph Crews in 1835 & she had an 11-year-old son named Theophilus who died in 1856.
I'm trying to locate her parents. Any help would be appreciated.
