Im trying to find out if John H Mooring whos wife was Lucinda is the father of my GG Grandmother Charlotte Mooring who was Mulatto. In the 1870 census it lists her as there servant but I belive that he was her father. Charlottes daughter was very light skined she did not look black at all she bearly looked mulatto. I know there wont be any record of her being her father but if any one knows from hearing stories please let me know.
