Surnames: Moorman, Reynolds, Candler, Douglas, Easton, Hill
I have recently connected to the Moorman line through my Hill line and I am totally confused by the different claims for the parentage of the Charles Moorman that married Elizabeth Reynolds!
Was he the Charles who was born circa 1648 to Zachariah and Elizabeth(Candler) Moorman OR was he their grandson, Charles, b. circa 1690, son of Thomas?????
No one seems to give any clear cut documentation as to their sources for either of these claims.
Has anyone got proof of either of these?
Oh - for anyone interested, here is the descendancy from Charles Moorman to my Hills in Ohio:
Charles Moorman/Elizabeth Reynolds
Judith Moorman (1711-1763?) & John Douglas (1711-1761)
Elizabeth Douglas (1733 - ?) & Johnston Easton (? Rev. soldier from VA)
Jane Easton (1780-1862) & Judge Samuel B. Hill (1779-1856)
