Not sure if it is correct. I am married to Robert Morawic. His family, dad's side came here from Poland and changed their spelling. The moved to Niagra Falls. Wonder if your name spelling is related to ours?

That's odd...

My father's name is John Morawiec.... He left Poland as a refugee during WWII. He was only a few years old.

We had a distant relative in Canada sponser him, and his mother (my Grandmother) in 1949/50.

They received approval to move to the USA in 1959. Ironically... it was New York (Maspeth).

Robert

I am looking for anyone who knew my Grandfather. His name was: Lucjan (?) Morawiec. He was born around 1900, and died around 1943. He served in the Polish/Russian War of 1919-21. His son, my father, would like any information about him. Thanks for your help. Robert...

Oops! sorry stacy, filled out post message incorrect so here is a duplicate.
Hi Stacy, I've about given up on hearing of other Morawiec so I am glad to hear from you. I think your grandfather was younger than my father who came from Poland around 1898 ish. I think he came through Canada to USA. Surprisingly, while there are no Morawiec online or ancestry board I have discovered that there are lots of Morawiec in New York City. They are listed in the phone book and I thought we were unique in name! Also, google.com (not sure if right) listed Morawiec with International interest, so there are Morawiec scientists, musicans, writers, artists. Must account for my interest in art genes! I'll have to dig up my info on where he's from in Poland if you are interested, Email me.

Hi, I may have a connection, as our names are very similar and we are the only MORAWIECKI's out there.

We live in Canada; my Grandfather came to Canada after the war, and has never seen his father, and however I think I've found his step brother in Montreal Canada.

If you think there is a slight connection with the names maybe losing a few syllables with in the year’s type back?
