Based on 1851 census Alice would have been born c1806 in Glamorgan, Wales. She is the only known family member found to date but could be d/o Leyshon & Margaret n. 5.5.1807 & c. 25.5.1807 at Margam, on the coast of West Glamorgan near Port Talbot. A daughter Mary of the same couple also n. 29.4.1804, c. 17.4.1804. Both registered as MORT.
There are 3 pages of names on the IGI/LDS. Few Bristol references exist but there is Elisha MORDECAI, a Labourer of Pile Marsh and his wife Mary Ann who had son Elisha c. 1827 at St. George, Bristol. A Morgan MORDECAI m. Elizabeth BRITTON in 1819 at the same church.
