My ggg grandfather was Henry Harrison More/Moore who was born in Allentown, Lehigh co PA-Feb 22,1852-1922( he died in atchison co Kansas) was the son of Peter More and Henrietta Ueberroth. Henry married Lydia Ann Sloyer who was born Oct 25 1852 Hellertown, Northampton co PA. She was the daughter of William Sloyer and Judia Christine. She died in 1927 in Atchison Co Kansas. My question is I found Henry listed as Henry More and then later on as Henry Moore. Were spelling changed because someone wrote it down wrong or other reasons?
When he was in pennsylvania I think it was the "MORE" spelling. But when he came west it was "MOORE". Why would this happen? Thanks for any help. Trying to figure out family trees.
