Second Class Gunner's Mate Harold L. MORGAN Jr., son of Mrs. Dolly MORGAN, 504 North Eleventh street (St. Joseph, MO), was killed in a accident while in the foreign service with the United States Navy. He was 22 years old. News of young MORGAN's death was received by his mother yesterday in a message from the navy department. MORGAN had been in the service for more than three years, having enlisted March 14, 1939. He was a graduate of Central High School (St. Joseph, MO) and was a popular student. He received his preliminary naval training at the naval station at Great Lakes, Ill. Besides his mother, MORGAN is survived by a sister Miss Nina MORGAN of the home, and his Father Harold L. MORGAN 1545 Buchanan Ave. (St. Joseph, MO).
