i am looking for information on the eliphas morlan line. eliphas was the son of erbin and melvina morlan. he was born 2-12-1876. he married a penelope holland. they had 6 children one was my grandfather,charles franklin morlan born 3-20-1916 in wayne county missouri, died 1-10-1991 in clay county arkansas. married lois mason 5-8-1947 in clay county arkansas.his social security card records show that his card was issued to him in michigan before 1951. i am trying to find out about his parents and grandparents any information would be a blessing. all we know is that the family originated in scotland and that the name was changed somewhere down the line. it is rumored that the original name was "moorelander" or something to that effect. also know that they lived in missouri and illinois.
