Vala Moro

Hi!
I was so excited to find your message about Vala Moro. I went on genealogy websites looking for the name because I'm trying to research some art my husband purchased at a flea market. They are signed Vala Moro and were purchased in Vienna. They are from around 1930. I found that several prints of hers have been sold at auction in Europe over the last few years, but could find little information about her or the art. Then, while searching on the internet, I found a partial message in German on a dance web site looking for information on her. It said she danced in Vienna from 1927-1933. But since I think the message was deleted and the site does not have archives, I was unable to find the name or email of the person who posted it. Was it you? If not, I did post on that board myself and hope they get back to me. I'm becoming more and more fascinated by my search for Vala Moro, and if you have anything to share with me, please do. dl_hodgson@hotmail.com

I am trying to trace my family ancestors. Your message caught my eye. My grandfather was Umberto Moro. I thought he was born in Accera, Italy (near Naples) in 1896. He married a Teresa Stompanato and they had one daughter, Carmella, before immigrating to America and settling in Cicero, Illinois around 1918 or 1919. My father, Ciro Moro (later changed to Gerald Scott Moro) was born on November 2, 1920 and died on January 31, 1969. My grandparents produced four other children, Carmen, Albert, Grace and Michael. Carmen passed away in 1978.

If you think we may be related, please email me directly - cmoro@iinet.net.au I have a lot more information to pass on.
