John Morrison b. 1811 in New Brunswick (Canada) had 18 kids. Married Fanny (Frances) Shields, moved to Michigan. Kids lived in MI and also Fresno Co. California. Some still there (Clovis area). John had brother George b. 1803 in New Brunswick married twice, #2 was Sarah Bush/Buck. They had 16 kids. Moved to Michigan. George and John are buried next to each other in Shiawassee Co. MI cemetery. There is a true story of Thomas Morrison (son of above John) being shot and killed by a school teacher (Fred Joslyn) in 1886 in Henderson (near Owosso) MI. The area of Maine they lived in was Aroostook County (northern most) but it was common for them to travel back and forth across the border. Above George was in Toronto area in 1826 and on the militia lists there. Some Morrison's also moved to Portland, Oregon area and word is some were in Washington state. Some still reside in Lake County, Michigan (Bristol) and Saginaw County. Originally they moved into Lapeer & Sanilac Counties before going briefly to Shiawassee Co. Would love to communicate with anyone on this family. I am sure George and John had other siblings and I suspect a few others. One was also a William who remained in Maine. Thanks...Bev
