I recently found that my GGgrandfather James D. Morrison b. 9 Aug 1816 was born in Culpeper Co. Va. On the 1810 Culpeper Co. Census there are 5 Morrison heads of households:

Morrison, Mary (Prob.m. to Stephen)
Morrison, Tarpley

I have not connected to any of these families yet. Are they all in the same family?
For the record my James Morrison lived in Rockbridge at one point and lived the rest of his life in Alleghany Co. Va.
He first married 28 April 1841 Mary Jane Haynes in Alleghany Co.

It would be great if we can somehow connect our families. I kept wanting to believe his was connect to Stonewall Jackson wife also a Morrison in Rockbridge but no ties.
