Hi Barbara, I have been researching my Gray line, got a big break when I found the families of my 5g grandfather William Gray's (m. Isabel Strachen) 4 brothers. They were in a book called "the family of Cadenhead", which is on-line. The brothers' sons were born between 1767 and 1785, one does have a son named Thomas Gray born around 1780-90, but the book says he died unmarried. There's 3 other sons that I havent found their kids. The Thomas Gray in your family appears to have been born around 1793 in Fyvie. Apparently around 1770-1800 there was a split in the church in Fyvie, with many parishoners going over to a free church, whose records arent online. So its a definite maybe?
