I am also researching the Morrisett name. I am looking for info on Keziah Morriset b. 1812 in Tn. and married Samuel Williams 6-19-1830 in Marion Co., IL. I am trying to figure out who her parnets are and any sibs. I have 2 ideas but don't know for sure. I have been gathering info on all the Morriset's I can find and I do have your Morrissett. I also have some on McCann and Rushing. Do you have or have you seen the book by Edna Shannhouse, The Morrisettes of NC and Other Southern States? This is where I got the info as well as Ernie Morrisette.
George T. McCann b. June 2 1840 died Dec. 8 1895 buried in McCann Cemetery near Waverly, Tn. Children were, Wm. b. 1865, Harris, b. 1866, Dorsey b. Feb. 1 1868 and Died 2-18-1960 married Siddie Harris, Hester b 1870, Mettie b 5-2-1872 died 6 24 1955 married W. R. Spann, Jacob Hugh, b Jan 27, 1875 died april 10 1948 married Clara, and Stella b 8 27 1878 and died april 12 1936 and married V. A. Rushing. What do you need regarding Peyton and family and I will see what I have. Back to the father of my Keziah. I believe it is either Wm. Thomas Morriset or Wm. Jonathan Morriset . Wm. Jonathan married Mary Ann Guilford. Wm. Thomas married Ann Farrar. If you have any info on either of these, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
