Searching for Clovis Morrissette

I am searching for a Clovis Morrissette who would be in his 50's or 60's today. Might still be in the province of quebec. Maybe in the trois riviere or sherbrooke area. A hint to make sure I find the right one is that he had his hair dyed BLACK in his teens by my mother. If anyones knows a clovis, please contact me

Christine

Does anyone have a lead on TOUSSAINT MORRISETTE b. 1825 in Canada? Probably a fur trapper in Canada and Oregon Territory. Married Adele, a Walla Walla Indian about 1845.

One source gives his father as Toussaint, no name given for mother. He was a colorful character but didn't leave much of a paper trail. I could use some help with his ancestry.

DATA: MORRISETT (several different) listed in 1929 Richmond, VA yearbook

DATA Message RE: The Marshallite, 1929 John Marshall High School yearbook (Richmond, VA).

This yearbook lists the members of the Senior class of 1929, faculty members, members of the Corps of Cadets, and many members of various clubs (not all). Unfortunately, it does not list the names of the members of the Junior, Sophomore or Freshmen classes (only officers listed for those classes). It includes the following name(s):

Morresette, Evelyn
Morrisette, Bertha Evelyn (Lyn)
Morrisette, Lula
Morrissett, Lula Meribah [sic]

There's over 1,900 records, so I've only listed the name(s), as it appears in the yearbook in this message.

If you would like to view all of the information that I extracted from the yearbook, I have uploaded it to my freepages genealogy web site. The link to the first page of these extracts on my web site is:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/family/r...

Or it can be accessed through the "General Research" link on the main page at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Please note that my site contains free genealogy related data & IS NOT a "commercial" or "advertising" site. Until I can get back out & do research on my own families, my hobby is posting free genealogy related data online that may help other reseachers. I put all kinds of genealogy information on my web site (including information others send to me to share on the site), not just data about the families I am researching (therefore I can't answer questions about everyone I have listed on the site). I hope the information I've put online helps someone with their research . . .

Susan :)
Sassytazzy's Online Genealogy Research Library
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Morissette Family reunion - May 18-19, 2002

The Association des familles Morissette inc. ("Morissette Families Association") is having its annual reunion in Sainte-Famille, Ile d'Orleans, on 18 and 19 May 2002. This is about 20 minutes away from Quebec City, in the province of Quebec.

This will be a social event, the emphasis being on meeting each other, as well as other Morissettes (any spelling), descendants and friends; it has little to do with genealogy per se.

This year will be very special because the reunion is held in the very parish where the ancestor Jean Moricet, lived, raised his family and is buried. The Association has put a monument to mark the land where he lived.

You do not need to be a member of the association to attend the reunion. Bear in mind that all activities are in French. For further information, see http://www.morissette.ca.tc and click on "Year 2002 Gathering".

Lise Patenaude
Member of Committee for the 2002 Reunion
Morissette, Morrissette, Mauricet, Moricet, Morisset, Morseth, ....

I dont know a lot about my Morrisette family I do knoe that my fathers name is David Morrissette I think his middle name is Alfred. His fathers name I think is Alfred Morrissette he lives in Connecicut somewhere, David lives in Florida. I meet David once when I was about 21. David and my mother never married so my birth name was kept as Bahre. they are from Germany and then settled in Connecicut, As did my fathers family when they came from Canada. My father had another son named David Morrissette I think he was or is liveing in Connecicut, I also have another brother Billy Morrisette he is about 18 years old. Kelly Morrisette about 20 yeras old and Jennifer Morrissette is about 23 years old. the three of them lived in Florida and as far as I know still do Somewhere in Hollywood, FL. That is the extent that I know of them. We all meet one time then lost contact again. I have there adress somewhere still and will try to write but I think they ended up moveing after a bad storm there one year. Dose anyone know these people or are they related to them. I have another family out there that I am kind of querious about and they have one they have never know as well.
