Willie Mose was murdered west of Eufaula, Oklahoma

Appears in "The Wapanucka Press" 17 March 1904, Wapanucka, Johnston County, Indian Territory, now Oklahoma

THIRD MYSTERIOUS MURDER

Muskogee: Willie Mose, a full-blood Creek was murdered in the woods twenty miles west of Eufaula and the remains have just been found. There were three Indians arrested for the murder but they were discharged on a preliminary hearing. This is the fourth murder of a similar nature within this section within the year and there has not been a conviction yet. This is close to Flat Rock where the Snakes have been encamped all winter, and it is supposed that they are responsible though it is impossible to get proof.

Ada Moses is my great-great-grandmother. My great-grandmother is Lulu Grace, Ada's daughter.

Here's what I know about her:
Ada (Adaline, Adeline, Adela) Pattie Moses
b. 16 Sep 1864
d. 28 Jun 1930; Sandy, Clearfield County, PA

I found records of her residence in 1910 - 1930 in Sandy, Clearfield County, PA.

Her parents were Adam Moses and Mary Lawson. I haven't researched them yet.

You might also find more information on the last name of VanHouter. The family alternated between the use of VanHouten and VanHouter.
