Hello,
Looking for information on JW or JM Moseley/Mosley born abt. 1855 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Married Ellnorah Shelton 05 Aug 1874 at Dyer County, Tennessee. Last seen on 1880 Census for Tennessee with two children. Find that Ellnorah marries James Harvey Stevenson 06 Dec 1882 in Dyer, Tennessee.

Known children of JM/JW - Alonzo Washington Mosley and Walter Wood Mosley - possibly Ella Mosley.
Would appreciate help in finding out where JM/JW Mosley ended up or when death was.

In our volume 1 of 2 volume MOSELEY gen books published back in 2000 we compiled most of these families (inspite of some apparently discrepancies to unifying them under one line) as descending from Edward "Ned" MOSELEY born 1757 who never left charlotte co VA--particularly his younger son Wm (ca 1787 charlotte co VA -- aft 1850 then living Gibson Co TN)

Suzanne said J M MOSELEY married 1874 Ellenora Shelton, and Shelton famiolies appear on 1870 and previous censuses of Dyer Co TN. Maybe they can be traced to an expert on them, and they have been more stable in Dyer Co TN itself, rather than the more transent MOSELEY families?
