Gary L. Mosley, 58, Aledo, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Ill.
The Rev. John Crede will officiate the services. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery with military services conducted by the Mercer County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1571.
Mr. Mosley was born Aug. 18, 1947, in Waterloo, the son of Donald and Colette Aubrey Mosley. He married Mary Sue Pople on Nov. 18, 1967, in Aledo. He graduated from Waterloo West High School, Waterloo, and attended AIC, Davenport, where he graduated with honors.
He was formerly employed at John Deere Plow and Planter in Waterloo and Moline, Ill. He owned and operated Gary's Tax Service, Aledo, and at the time of his death was employed at Riddell Roofing, Aledo.
He was a member of the Tuesday and Thursday evening bowling leagues at Millennium Lanes and the Oakview Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, and was a fan of drag racing.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberly Kester and husband Douglas of Milan, Ill.; two sons, Timothy Mosley and wife Leah of Rock Island, Christopher Mosley of Chicago; three grandsons, Zachary Kester of Milan and Bryce and Brennan Mosley of Rock Island; his mother, Colette Mosley of Waterloo; a sister, Michelle Richter and husband Scott of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Gene Mosley and wife Rita of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
