I am searching for descendants of Lena E. Motherwell who married Luther Watson Allen of Tennessee. I believe Lena may have come from Canada to Ohio and eventually to New Decatur, Alabama where she and Luther Watson met and married. After the San Francisco Earthquake they moved to Oakland, California where he was a building contractor. They had children: Luther, b. abt 1898; Vernon b. abt. 1900; Delmar E. b. abt. 1904, Eugene M. b. abt. 1907; and Fred L b. abt. 1909. Lena died suddenly in 1925 at the age of 46. Luther Wat died in 1935. Son Vernon drowned while swimming in the San Francisco Bay and Fred was killed at the Battle of Attu in the Aleutian Islands in 1942.
