You are right. Johann Frederick was his son born in 1740 and Johann Jacob was also one of his sons born in 1743. I think alot of people get those 2 confused because they were so close in age.

Johann Mauser/Mouser may have been his son. He came to this country on the ship "Nancy" in 1751/52 (I've seen both). Descendents moved to Berks Co. PA, then to OH (3 different counties), then to MI (first Isabella and then Gratiot Co, where the Mouser farm still stands!).

Marilee Mouser
IThaca, MI

I found out that Hans Michael Mauser was the first of my family who came to America roughly around 1751 to 1752. He moved to Pennsylvania then shortly after he died i am guessing his son Johann Frederick Mauser moved to North Carolina and shortly after he died his son Michael Mouser moved to Missouri in 1804.

Just began my family search quest. Great Grandfather was William Francis Goodson and his wife was Barbara Josephine Mouser. Several intertwining sister/brother marriages between Goodson/Mouser/Hahns. Would love to get in touch with anyone who has pictures of the families. I have a few pictures of my great grandparents but none of their sisters/brothers/cousins/parents etc. Will be adding my pictures in the next few weeks. Thank you and hope to hear from someone with stories, pictures etc. My great grandparents were living in Olathe CO when I was little..but they moved out from Missouri

Hey! It seems that spring has sprung 10 times over for me. It's the wrong time to do much genealogy. The Mouser list is very small and I'm sure others are very busy with life also.

I think you don't have the Mouser book? I would hope you could somehow find a copy to get a little more info. I could also possible copy some related pages from the book if you absolutly cannot find a copy.

And hopefully Barbara is coming along well with the new book. Again, have you all sent her your family info to include in the book.

Warren

Sorry, if I wrote 1943, that was a typo error. You will have to pardon me -- I've been in Washington, D.C. for a week working on drafting a Medicare bill and I'm still a little tired ----

The actual date of Johann Jacob Frederick Mouser' birth is September 26, 1743, b prob in Germany. His date of death was April 23, 1799 in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., NC

The Mouser's went from N.C. to Missouri. Johann Mouser's son, George SR., my ancestor, married Mary Smith in Missouri. Their son, George, Jr. was born in 1799 in NC and went from Missouri to Arkansas.

Sandra

No, the name JOHANN is like using MR in the English language. My ancestor was Johann Jacob Frederick Mouser (oftimes confused with Jacob Mouser). His military records are carried as Jacob Frederick Mouser and I, too, at one time thought this was in error. Sandra

oh you meant Michael Mouser's dad. Yeah he is my great great great great great grandfather. I got confused because of the years. You said he was born in 1943 when most genealogy websites have him born in 1740. That's why i got him confused with his brother. Sorry.

What do the pages of the Mouser book look like? Like what does the info look like on there? Is it just names and dates like most family books or is it different?

I tried to see if they still made them but somebody told me that they discontinued it and are trying to make a new one. Me and my part of the family don't really feel like waiting forever for the new one to come out so if there is a place where that still has a few copies of the old Mouser book then please let me know. Thanks.

The Mouser list is very small and I'm sure others are very busy with life also."

I'm sorry.
My family doesn't really care about being in the new or old Mouser book or not. My grandpa would just like something to pass down from generation to generation to remember who came before us. He remembers the bible that was passed down from Emanuel, his wives, and all 19 of his kids and said that is really the only thing he wants. He regrets not copying any of the info they had in it the times he did see it.

There is this "The Mouser Name in History" book on amazon that was made by ancestry.com but i don't know if its like the The Mouser book itself. I have some info on Emanuel Mouser but i would like a little more if you have any.
