I am no relation to Clovis Mowry, but a curious researcher, and I hope this information helps someone researching the Mowry family of Rhode Island.
I was looking through death records in Stamford, CT and came across this information for a buriel in Potters Field/Burials in unknown cemetery:
Mowry, Clovis, born Apr. 28, 1861, died about Apr. 36 Remains found in Long Island Sound Age 75.
(one can then assume the date this information was recorded is 1936.)
Would this be the Clovis Mowry of Rhode Island, as shown in One World Tree, with parents Leander Scott Mowry and Malona Smith?
(Might the ocean current have drifted his body down to Long Island Sound? Or maybe he lived down this way in the later years of his life?)
