Kenneth P. Moyer, 84,
of RR2, Canton, formerly of 421 S. Water St., Mill Hall, died Friday, April 10, 2009 in Troy Community Hospital, Troy.
Born May 8, 1925 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late William and Grace Kennedy Moyer.
He was married to the former Virginia E. Johnsonbaugh, whom he married on Nov. 15, 1946. She died on Dec. 18, 2004.
He was a 1942 graduate of Mill Hall High School.
Ken served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Mill Hall Church of Christ and enjoyed watching football, especially Penn State football, and being with his family
Ken retired in 1986 from the Hammermill Paper Co., where he worked in the payroll department.
He is survived by two sons, William "Skip" (Mary Alice) Moyer of Carlsbad, Calif., and Michael W. Moyer of Salisbury, Md.; a daughter, Diane (Patrick) Barrett) of Canton; two sisters-in-law, Carol Myers and Helen Shover; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Donald and Clair Moyer; and two sisters, Marian Moyer and Joyce Kodad.
Services will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at noon in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall, with Rev. James H. Redmon officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall.
