My farther was the son of James Mucci, who's was the son of Nicolas Mucci from Italy. His Aunt's, Eleanor, Susie, Arlene, Alice and uncle Orlanzo lived in Sanford, Maine. My farther married Jessie Pillsbury and lived in Gorham, Maine

My Reale family tree has Mucci's in it. I haven't connected the Mucci with my Reale side yet on this site. My Dad's cousin Ron Sperandeo is a put together a 65 page family tree history for my Dad. died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, in The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Greater Pittsburgh. He was born July 27, 1929, in Latrobe, a son of the late Domenic and Francesca (Simonelli) Mucci. Daniel was a member of St. Rose Church, and had served in the Army. He had been retired from Hockensmith in Penn. Besides his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Concetta Liberoni; and brothers, Nicholas and Leonard Mucci. He is survived by two sisters, Antoinette Ray, of Latrobe, and Ann Grejtak, of Latrobe; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Colleen Yothers. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Rose Church. Interment to follow in St. Rose Cemetery.

My name is Domenick Mucci III, and I am from Tenessee born there for two years and moved to Florida for most of my life. My father is from Garfield New Jersey. His grandmother was from Napoli and his mother spoke full Italian. However I never met his part of the family do to him leaving at a young age. However I will have to get some names of realtives and see if any are still alive in that area. He mentioned some are still in Napoli. Leonard D. Mucci, 85, of Bradenville, died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at his residence. He was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Bradenville, a son of the late Domenic and Francesca (Simonelli) Mucci. Leonard was a member of St. Rose Church. He was retired from Teledyne-Vasco and had worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. A World War II veteran, he served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Greek Catholic Beneficial Society in Snydertown, and for many years he was the dinner-time bartender at Palombo's. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Concetta Liberoni; and a brother, Nicholas Mucci. Leonard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yola (Palombo) Mucci, of Bradenville; three sons, Leonard P. Mucci and his wife, Michelle, of Derry Township, Mark D. Looking for information about the families of Carmine Mucci and wife Michela Palladino(or Cerio?). Their children were Rosa, Serafino, Giovanni, and Giuseppe. Giuseppe is my grandfather and his wife was Maria Luigia Carmela Reale (parents were Francesco Libero Reale and Maria Teresa Lombardi). I believe they are from the Ferrazzano, Compobasso area. Any information on either side of the Mucci or Reale family would be greatly appreciated.

My niece married someone whose ancestors came from Catigano, Abruzzi, Italy.

Guiseppe Mucci married Antoinetta Digovann and both listed Catigano as where they came from. They met and settled in Massachusetts.

Hi Nick. I've been doing some researching myself about our family. Just to add to your information...Your grandmother, Laura, also had two additional brothers, Albert and Frank Your great grandmother's maiden name is Carolina Brignole. Check out the 1911 Canadian Census. It was obviously done by an English speaking census taker as there are a lot of mistakes. You'll see Laura Micci, father is Joe Much, etc. I'll keep searching and share with you what I find. I found the ship manifest for your grandfather Nick - SS Arabic leaving October 30, 1923 from Naples. Take care.

My grandmother and grandfather Theresa Tesone Mucci Donato Mucci were born in Castel Vecchio Prov. of Aquila, Italy, Abruzzi. Grandmother born 2/13/1894 died 9/l/63. Grandfather born March 15, 1884, died March 1930. I don't know if we are related but please contact me again if we are "kin folk".

Go to Mucci-LaMaita Family tree on Ancestry, a lot of info is there. Your Dad and I were first cousins. When you were a little girl I met you at the party for your grandparents in Watkins Glen. I was there with my mother Marge and my daughter Katie. Look me up in facebook also as beth allen leney. I do not think we are related to Mucci construction but I may be wrong, if we are it is not a direct line.
Your g-grandfather Andrea had at least 2 brothers who also had a ton of kids.

Thank you for the condolences as well, it's been rough, especially since the one year anniversary of his death just passed.

Hello, my name is Joseph Alfieris. I was a friend of your father at the University of Bridgeport, Ct., which I attended in the Summer and early Fall of 1974. It was the last time I saw him as I transferred out to another art school in NYC. I was just thinking of old acquaintances and I did some research on Andrea. I was sorry to hear of his death. He was a smart, witty guy and we had some good times. He appeared exactly as in one of the photos in your video tribute - He had shoulder length dark hair and he was slim. My maternal grandparents, Frank and Maria Mucci, were from Catignano, Abruzzo Italy and came to the US in 1906 and later lived in both Ontario Canada and Buffalo, NY before settling permanently in East Boston, Ma. My grandmother Maria Mucci was also a Mucci by birth. The Mucci surname is actually quite popular in Catignano and there are several families bearing that name.

My Great-Great grandfather Leonardo Mucci was born in Catignano in 1835. he married Concetta D'Agresti. They had five sons born between Catignano and Civitaquana. The sons are:
Sante Mucci - 1865
Giulio Mucci - 1870
Enrico Mucci - 1875
Antonio Mucci - 1878, married Mariantonia D'Attilio (my great grandfather, i have this side of the tree locked down)
Dominico Mucci - 1883

Leonardo Mucci's father was Francesco Mucci who married Santa Giovittorio.

Would love to put more of this together.

Hi everyone,

My name is Ariana Mucci. My father was Andrea Mark Mucci, and my grandfather was William A. Mucci, brother to Col. Henry Mucci. They were all born in Bridgeport, and I know my grandfather grew up in Bridgeport. I don't remember my great-grandfather's name (I think it was Andrea), he was married to Elizabeth LaMaita, and he sold horses for a living. I know my grandfather had a LOT of siblings (at least 8 or 9) and I see a few people listing some of the same information on here. I know I have some relatives in Shelton with whom my grandfather lost contact, and they own and run Mucci Construction (I see their trucks driving around every now and then, and the driver usually bears a striking resemblance to my father). If there is anyone in Connecticut, or who is related to this branch, or any branch of the Mucci family that would like to contact me, please feel free. I'm an only child and it's not easy keeping in track with family, especially after my father passed away this past August.

My great-grandfather Giuseppe Mucci was from Catignano. He was born about 1888, son of Antonio Mucci, and married Carolina Bragnole. They had six children that I know of: Mary, Laura, Rose, Vera, Antoinette and Dominic. My grandmother Laura was born in 1910 in Toronto. I believe Giuseppe arrived at Ellis Island in May 1902, and probably came to Canada through Buffalo in June 1909.

I'd love to know if you have more information!

I am Nancy Mucci, born in Conneaut, OH to Leo and Mary (DiFilippo) Mucci. My father's mother's name was Erminia and his father Michael. My dad's bros and sis include Ernest, Charles, Dominic, Edith, Josephine, Violet, Ido. I do not know of that disease, however, my dad had lympohoma, a sister of his Geraldine died at 13 of leukemia and my brother has a form of leukemia also. Also one aunt may have had an illness similiar to what you described.

I am also looking for Mucci family members in Catignano, Italy. I have found a website about the small town and there are several of them there. My great-grandparents, Julia (Gulia Mucci) and Dominick Moscone came to the United States from Catignano.
I am going to Italy this summer and am hoping to get to Catignano.
My aunts say that my grandmother talked of a sister still in Italy, Louise Mucci.
