Dear Sir/Madam,
my name is Katerina Danyiova and I am a Czech citizen. My grandfather´s brother Michael Karchnak (or Michael Mucha) came from Slovakia (the town of Minovce in the Stropkov or Svidnik department). We was born probably in 1897-1906 and had four brothers and a sister. He emigrated to maybe Argentina or other state around 1930 and around 1956 he looked for our family in Slovakia via the Red Cross. By then our family had moved to the Czech part of ex-Czechoslovakia. Unfortunately, the information about his initiative didnn´t reach us. Today, our family would like to trace our ancestors who had moved to Argentina. I would therefore greatly appreciate if you could give us any information about him. Yours respectfully, Katerina Danyiova
kdanyiova@email.cz

Hi! I'm Mauricio, i live in México and i'm part of the "De Mucha" family, but i've been told that the family is the same, that it means "house fly" that the "De" was added by the church for its records, 'cause one of the memebers of the "Mucha" family got a nobelty title... but that's all i know..

Actually in spanish was translated to something like "De Mucza*" when it actually should sound like "De Muja" right?

I know my geneology up to my great-great-great-greatgrandfather called "Wolfang De Mucha Saenz" who married "Juana Francisca de Garmendia y Artusa" my guess is that this Wolfang guy on the first generations of "De Mucha"s in Spain but i'm not sure... I wanna know anything you have on this Family.... Please

NOTE: CZ its supposed to sound like CH in "choice" right?

Hi everyone.. I am interested in seeing if I am possibly related or if anyone knows anything. All that I have so far is this

I am Michelle Liden, My mom is Deborah Liden ( Maiden name Mucha) My grandparents are John Mucha and Virginia Kabala. They are in their mid-70's so they have a hard time remembering their grandparents'. From what I can tell My grandpa, John Mucha's parents were John Mucha, who had a brother Joseph Mucha. John Mucha was married to a Lottie Urbanski. As far as dates.. My great grandfather, John Mucha immigrated from Poland in 1909, his wife in 1904. From what I can tell, John Mucha was born in or around 1891. That is all I have and about as far as I can trace back. I know it's hard to understand all my jibber jabber lol.. but I would at least like to be able to find my great grandparents and their parents. We have a small family in Chicago that doesn't communicate very well.. and well my dad's family has his side traced back to the early 1700's. Come to find out we were royalty!!! I guess thats why I'm so interetsed. Anyways, If anyone has any info, please share sparklinstarsz888@comcast.net
Thanks,
Michelle

searching for information on the above. ( my father) born in 1923 in Brzeziny in eastern Poland. I believe my grandfather's name was Antonio and my grandmother's name was Victoria. My father was one of seven children, I believe, with a brother named Adam. I have tried to find information on the family several times, but have drawn a blank. My father came to England after WW2, as a displaced person and although he died many years ago, I would love to know if any of his family are still alive. Should anyone have any relevant information, I would like to hear from you.

I am trying to research my Mucha heritage, but I only know that my greatgrandparents names were Michael (or Michal) Mucha (born in Europe and died in Trumbull County, OH around 1950). His wife was Justina Salapata (born in Europe June 3rd early 1900's and died in Niles, OH 1970) I believe Michael Mucha's mothers name was Katie Swatko. Michael and Justina had 5 children--John, Walter, Ann, Catherine, and Mike. Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated!
Annie Mucha born 1890, Dzviniachka, Galicia

My grandmother, Annie Mucha, (also maybe spelled Muha or Muma) was born July 1, 1890, apparently in the village of Dzviniachka, Galica (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire). She later emigrated to Canada (possibly via New York) and married my grandfather, Sam Michaylenko, who was apparently from the same village in Galicia. They married in Edmonton, AB, CAN, (again, I can find no record) and later moved to British Columbia where they both died (I have their death certificates). I have found no other Michaylenko's, but many Michalenko's, so I presume this is a unique spelling variation adopted at some point in time.

Other than their birthdates and places on the birth certificates of their children, I have been unable to find any evidence of their existance, ancestry, or relatives.

I would love to hear from anyone who might be able to connect to these folks or point me to any sources of information.

Thanks

Bill Churchman

Susan, my Mucha relatives are in Texas also.
Perhaps we cross. I don't have much info either. My Great grandfather was Martin Mucha, born in Czechoslovakia 10/27/1853 and died 11/16/1926. Buried in Taylor,Texas cemetary. His wife was Veronika Knezek also born in Czechoslovakia 5/1/1863 and died 1/18/1926. She, too is buried in Taylor. Their son, Joe Mucha was my grandfather-married to Mary Mikus (Mikulas). I don't know if there were more children. Does my info click with anything you have? Pls. reply.

Where in WI were your Mucha family? My Mucha's first were in Tomahawk where my grandmother was born. They later moved to Neenah/Menasha, Winnebago Co, WI.

My great grandfather, Joseph Mucha, had an Uncle in Tomahawk, Lincoln Co, WI and I believe his name was Rupert.

Write me if we have a connection!
