In 1850 census of Washington County, Indiana Tobias is listed as a farmer, age 70 born in Pa, Elizabeth age 63, born NC and only two sons are listed William age 22, farmer born In, and Thomas age 21, born in IN.and a farmer. I connect through another son Robert who married Rhoda Humphry and who was father to William Thomas Mull my GGGrandfather. William
Thoms Mull married Anne Filmore Collings. She is a decsendant of the Pigeon Roost Collings. I got the information on Tobias and Suannah Mull from their OBITs.
John Mull of Berks County PA, c. 1866-1901

I have a man in my family tree named John Mull (b. 18 Oct 1866 - d. 25 Dec 1901)

He was married to woman named Margaret(Daisy)Clouser in 1892. She was from Perry Co. Pa. but they moved to Philadelphia. She was only about 16 when they married. He died in Philadelphia in 1901 - widowing Daisy at age 23.

He was buried in the Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading. From what I have been able to learn, he was buried with a woman named Elvina Mull Pickens, her husband Robert and their son, James. (These three are a family as verified in the 1880 US Census.) Elvina, in 1900, is living as widow with her widowed mother, 90 yr old, Susannah Mull (Moll).
Susannah had 13 children, 3 of which were living in 1900, all living with her at the time.

I suspect that John Mull was a nephew of Elvina's and thus a grandson of Susannah Mull's. Susannah had at least four sons, Christopher, Horace, Jefferson, and Daniel. Jefferson was single and never married in 1900, so one of the other sons was likely John's father.

Do any of these folks sound familiar to anyone?

He died when I was 3, so my knowledge is very limited. I do know that my family came from Germany and since I am a redhead i know i come from a family of redheads.
Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Mull- Native american ancestry help

I am looking for any information on Hannah Mull born in Illinois. Family legends have her as being a full blooded indian. However, the name Mull is german descent. I was excited to see others of Mull descent with native american bloodlines. I had thought that we are of Iriquois descent but cannot find anything. My grandmother and aunt are desceased (who would have had any pertinant information). Hannah listed her parents birthplaces as North Carolina. However, reading the Trail of Tears through Missouri, the Cherokees were made to travel through Anna Illinois and it states that the people here were nicer to them than most anywhere they had been. Sometimes the women had to lag behind if they were giving birth, etc. I had wondered if a Mull's had adopted some children or if some of the Cherokees had escaped and adopted that name. I have been very confused because there are a few Hannah Mulls around the same age in Union County, IL in 1850. Benedict and Sarah in their 70s have a 10 yr old Hannah, Martin and Catherine have a 9 yr old Hannah, and Issac and Lucinda have a 10 yr old Hannah....all from North Carolina. I have come to a complete stop and don't know where to look. Hannah married James Michael Lingle, had 2 childred and then James died. She lived with the Parents of James until she remarried Joseph Hill. Any knowledge regarding this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Appears in "The Wapanucka Press" 12 May 1904, Wapanucka, Johnston County, Indian Territory, now Oklahoma

KLAHOMA MOONSHINERS

A Quartet of Whisky Makers, a Still and Some Spirits Found

Grand: Sheriff Smith returned from Beason, this county, with four moonshiners - Ezra Mull, W. G. Oldaker and two sons. He also located the still, a half barrel of whisky and several gallons on mash. One of the Oldakers was captured after seven shots had been fired by the officer. A fifth member of the gang escaped.

Just how long the still has been in operation is not known, but the supposition is that at different times it has been in operation for months. The sheriff has endeavored for some time to locate the still and get the guilty parties.
Through my research I have discovered the I am a direct decentant of Captain Peter M. Mull. He fathered a child with Eliza Cline(she was married to Ambrose Cline at this time however he died in the Civil War two years before Peter Sanford Cline was born) ). The birth and bastard bond of Peter Sanford Cline(my maternial great grandfather) was recorded in Superior Court of NC. I would like to know if there is any information on any other children he fathered. Peter M. Mull's parents were Jacob Mull and Mary Hildebrand Mull. Also I would like to know when and where the Mull reunion in NC is located. Thank Patty

JC & Carrie Mull

1910 Census shows John C MULL(b 1877) and wife Carrie (b 1888). Nothing is know about Carrie. John's parents were George E MULL (b. 1849) & Jennie (b.1852) of NY (as were both parents). George was a pattern maker and is found in the 1880 census in Albany, NY. His trade was that of a pattern maker. In 1920 John is now with wife Luella in Ft Worth, TX area. Very little documented infromation is found on this family. If any of this "fits" into your Mull lineage, please reply!!!!

I am hoping that someone can help me identify a photograph. I have a picture that is identified as Flo Mull taken in Albany, New York. I have found two Florence Mulls living in Albany at the turn of the century.

Florence G. Mull was born about February 1898 in New York, daughter of Abraham and Minnie.

Florence A. Mull was born about August 1878 in New York, daughter of G. Peter and Matilda.

Here is a link to my website where I posted her photo. I would greatly appreciate your help in this matter. If the link doesn't work, just copy and paste it in your browser.

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~candysfamilys/alban...

Thanks
Candace

He married 1st to Keziah GOOBY on 22 Jun 1879 in Ionia, MI and they had the following children:

Herbert (my grat g-pa)
Elmer Jay
Seymour
Arthur
Benjamin
Matthew
Arthur
Edna May
Claude

Edward and Keziah divorced and Edward married about 2-3 other times and in the end remarried to Keziah.

Last year when I was working on him, I had a lady email me and help me with this, and I lost contact with her, I lost her email addy and such.

I been trying to go back from him and it's been almost near impossible.

It appears on a couple of the other marriage documents he changed his age and such...

One Census sorta tells me he had a brother, but going to that guy when he was younger, my Edward is no where to be found with him. I have searched in almost every nook.... but looking for some sort of connection or suggestion.

I have more info. on Edward and Keziah's children here:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~migenweb/fgs/ionia/Edward_MULL.htm
J C ("Cornelius") Mull b. abt 1877 in Mew York

JC Mull, age 43 born in NY, is shown in the 1920 Census report taken in Ft. Worth, TX with his wife Luella M, daughter Persis (born 1913 in MI) and mother-in-law Mary Schieferstein (born 1865 in MI). I've not been able to find JC Mull in any other census reports. His middle name is believed to be Cornelius - this information from my mother, Persis (listed as his daughter in the 1920 census). There is a great "mystery" surrounding this man. He was known to be the spouse of my grandmother, Luella, but I've been unable to find any marriage or divorce information. As a family they moved to Los Angeles, CA in the mid 1920's where JC Mull physically built a house for them ( I have a photo of this structure). According to my mother, one night JC Mull, the man she called "dad" but was not the biological father, woke her and said he had to leave but wanted to give her a kiss goodbye. He was never seen or heard from again. I have letters addressed to Luella Mull dated from 1925 to 1927 in Los Angeles, CA. Prior letters were addressed to Luella Schieferstein (born 1894 in Dexter, MI) in Enid, OK. Possible that Mull was married previously but there was also some sort of "scandal" involving him as well. Would very much appreciate help from any Mull's who may have a mystery relative that could match up here.

Am looking for any information regarding a J C Mull who was born in New York in 1877. He was listed as head of household with Luella Mull (my grandmother) and Persis Mull (my mother) and Luella's mother, Mary Schieferstein in Texas in the 1920 Federal Census. I believe that the middle initial of "C" stands for Cornelius. There was a loving parting between JC and Luella in the mid to late 1920's but it revolved around some sort of "scandal" which, to this day remains a mystery to me. He simply dissappeared from their lives, sadly. If JC Mull was a relative in your family history, please contact me!!!!

Thomas Mull in Monroe Co., AR

I'm looking for information on a "Captain" Thomas Mull who settled in Holly Grove (Monroe Co.) Arkansas around 1880 after acquiring an old antebellum house there. He died in Holly Grove in 1923 around the age of 80. I don't know where he came from. It's rumored that he had worked as a scout out west for the U.S. Govt. and had some involvement with Native Americans. As far as I know, he never married but had at least one child, Thomas Mull, Jr (Thomas, Jr. married Auree Bullington). He had at least one nephew, Mull Ward, from Memphis, TN. He was apparently quite the character. He was big into gambling and hunting. He looked like: "a tall, straight man, with long, silky white hair and a frosty white mustache and goatee. He usually wore leather leggings and a leather coat with fringe". It was also rumored he could have been the son of outlaw, John Murrell (as far as I know that's only a rumor). If you have any information about Thomas Mull, please send me an email:
dfletcher20@comcast.net

Re :An Old Photo of BERT MULL of Harrison County, Missouri

I am in possession of a well preserved old photo which is identified on the back as "BERT MULL". I know nothing about the Mull Family, however, they were friends with my grandmother, Alta Baker, and my grandfather, Ben Snead. At the time they all lived in Harrison County, Missouri. Since my grandmother was born in 1894 and she was sweet on Bert before she married my grandfather, Bert would probably have been born about that same time period or a little earlier. Grandma passed on her photos to my dad and now Dad has died, I would like to unite this photo with Mr. Mull's direct descendants. Let me know if he's in your family tree.

Need assistance in locating information of Cornelius Mull. Although he was not the natural (biological) father of my mother, Persis Ardath, she did call him "dad" and used his last name for many years while he was married to my grandmother, Luella.

They may have lived in Oklahoma, California and Oregon over the years. They were last together in Los Angeles, where he had built a home.

Cornelius, out of love and concern, left my mother and grandmother due to an impending "scandal" in which he was somehow involved.

ANY assistance or information would be welcomed.

Searching for any information on the family of John Thomas Mull (Father, Johannes John Mull, 1744 mother Ann Marie Anthony /Lincoln Co. N.C. ) and Mary Sophronia Rinck, father Johann Frantz Rinck and mother Mary Margaret Killion Lincoln Co. N.C. )
Known Children are believed to have been:
Catherine Mull 1808, Abraham Newton Mull, 1809, Anna Marie Mull 1813, Noah Mull 1816.
John Thomas was married to Susan Sarah Smith before Mary Rinck, it is possible that one or more of these children could have been by that union instead of Mary. If you can shed any light on either of these families I would appreciate your help. Mary Rinck could have also been married to David Moyer before she married John Thomas Mull. The child in question is Abraham Newton Mull who married Sarah Settlemeyer. In Estate records money was given back to the estate of Frantz Rinck from the gardian of Abraham Mull indicating that maybe he was not really Mary Rinck's son by this marriage.
Records found at the Archives in Raleigh, N.C. indicates that Mary and John Thomas Mull married Dec 29, 1897 if that is the case all the children could be there's. If the childrens birthdays are correct. John Thomas Mull married Susanna Sarah Smith about 1798.
Thank you for any help on this line.
m.harbinson@worldnet.att.net

I am looking for information on the parenets and siblings of MORGAN P. MULL, born 22 June, 1867 Putnam Co OH, married about 1891 to Martha Jane Gatton. Morgan P Mull's parents names were David Mull and Mary Harris, and I have further information on them. Who were David Mull's parents, and who were the parents of Mary Harris? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information on this family. Morgan P Mull (sometimes known as "Chat") and his wife Martha, and their children moved to White County, Indiana shortly after the 1900 census was taken. There were several other Mull families living in White Co IN also. From Birth and marriage indexes there were the following: Charles Mull and wife Blanche Gano; William Mull and wife Bessie Robinson; William Mull and wife Mary Amore; Charles Mull and wife Lilly Armstrong; Thomas Mull and wife Lavina Lear. Mull marriages in White County were: Anna M. Mull to George Marlott in 1910, and Jess Morris Mull to Ida Gardinger in 1920. I don't know if these Mulls were related to Morgan P. Mull or not. I would appreciate any information you might have. Thank you very much for your help.

Here's some new info. I have for anyone doing research on NC Mulls.
Alice Ellen Mull B: 7/5/1889 Burke Co., NC D: 1924 of TB.
Married a John Cuthbertson B: McDowell Co., NC. They
married in 1911 They had a daughter together who I do not
know her name.
Alice had a daughter before she married John but I have not found out who the father is. The daughters name is
Emily Ruth Mull B: 10/16/1910, Burke Co., NC D:5/12/1957
(cerebal hemorrage) at home in her sleep in Statesville, NC.
AGE:47 She was known as Ruth. She went to the Thomasville Orphange from 4/8/1925-7/18/1929. I have more info. on why she went there after her mothers death. She has a uncle named D.B. Mull (he became legal guardian over Ruth after her mothers death) and a aunt name Mattie.
married Glenn Thompson Tolliver 9/14/1938, Newton, NC.
They have two living children, two living grandchildren and three living great grandchildren.
I still can not find anything one who Alice Ellen Mulls parents could be.
If any one has the genealogy of this family line I would love to get it.

I am looking for descendants of Samuel M. Mull who was born in Buena Vista, Hamilton Twp., Atlantic Co., NJ on March 2, 1860. He was the son of Phillip Emmel Mull and Elizabeth M. Pancoast, and the brother of my great-grandmother. Samuel died in 1937.

In a letter written by my great-grandmother in 1941, she says Samuel "lived in Pennsylvania for years." He and his wife Ellen Mather are buried in Friendship Church cemetery in Buena, Atlantic Co., NJ.

In the 1880 census, Samuel was living with his older brother George L. Mull & wife Rachel Sharp in New Salem, Pike Co., Illinois.

I hope to find descendants to share info with. According to the book "The Pancoast Family in America" by Bennett Pancoast, Samuel and Ellen's children were: Teressa; Thomas m. unknown Groelander; Mary m. George Nelsen; Leon; Letitia m. Joseph Mills; Leroy (died at age 9); Hayden (died age 3).

If any of this sounds familiar, let me know!

Re : Seeking Information on Emma Mull-Carbon Co, PA

Anyone seen any information on Emma Mull around Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co., PA in the late 1800 to early 1900's? It's possible she lived in Pottstown or Mahanoy as well. I have always heard a rumor there was Native American blood from this line, possibly Cherokee from some Plains near Pottstown, but recently was told this family was German. I have just received some information from a distant relative who remembers the family and told me what he remembers of them. I show 3 marriages and 9 children listed below.
Taylor, Unk
Maria Taylor married Flannery

Hassel, Elmer
Elmer Jr? married Helen Landenberg
Margaret married Jack Kelly
Cora (b. abt 1902)married George McCormick
Mary married Michael McMonegal

John Meikrantz
John Jr? married Marion Strong
Joseph
Jennie married William McDonald
Dorothy married Star, and then Joseph Mazzio

I also have a list of known children of these children of Emma. If anyone has seen or knows of information on this line, please contact me at brinafangs@hotmail.com
