Hi I am writing from Helsinki Finland, I just found this pages which seems to be interesting because I am helping my father in writing genealogy books in his retairement days. Plan is to study our relatives immigrated to USA in the history. So far he has written two large books in (finnish)from our family roots and home village Mulikka, which is the small village in middle-Finland Mullica you are referring to. The name Mulikka is not official any more, the name today is Pääjärvi, in Saarijärvi county as I said in middle Finland. This place is also very close to me since I've spend my younghood summers there and I still visit my cousins reqularly. If you are interested more of your possible roots in Finland you may also check following institute pages:
http://www.migrationinstitute.fi/index_e.php

I just joined Ancestry and was reading messages. This is a few years late, but Mullica is Swedish, actually Finnish. Eric Mullica arrived in New Jersey sometime in the 1600's.
My maiden name was Mullica.

Mary Mullica obituary

I found this in my Townsend family bible.

MULLICA - Suddenly, on November 21st, 1883, MARY P., wife of William Mullica, aged 62 yrs. The relatives and friends of the family, also of Kensington M.E. Church, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Sunday afternoon at ? o'clock, from her late residence, No. 409 East Gaurd avenue. To proceed to Hanover vault.

If you know what the relationship is to Townsend, have access to Kensington church records (for Townsend, Mager, Spaeth, Fillman), or know what cemetery contains the Hanover vault, I would appreciate the assistance.
