It is my understanding that the name Mullinix was a phonic spelling of Moulenaux from my mother years ago, she said that her father told her that the family came to america from england in 1709, and it was hard to spell & pronounce and was americanized into Mullinix, my mother said there was a toss up about it being welsh or scottish but had always been told she her ancestory originated in Wales,
