I am currently working on a website that will contain as much information as I can gather on the Mumpower family name. As of now I have not posted any info to it, due to work and moving to a new apartment. I should have what information I have posted within a week. The URL is http://mumpower.homepage.com
In addition I am looking for information on William Henry Mumpower, B. 2/1858 in Washington Cty, Va. His eldest son was Edward King Mumpower born in 1899. I do know that he was supposed to have been a member of the Wa. Cty Sheriffs Dept. until the mid-30's or early 40's. My Grandfather tells me he was killed on duty. If anyone knows anything concerning him I would be grateful for that info.
Also, please email me any information you have concerning your own families and I will include it in my database and post it to the wensite I am building. Perhaps working together we can come up with a complete list of all Mumpowers in this country all the way back to Peter Mumpower ans Eve Zimmerly in 1796.
