Samuel Munro, 46, of 2831 Alexandra Avenue, Sandwich West, died today at Metropolitan General Hospital after a lengthy illness. A prominent horseman, Mr. Munro was an owner and trainer and had a stable in Detroit, where he was well-known in racing circles. He was born in Coatbridge, Scotland, and came to Windsor 25 years ago. Surviving are his widow, the former Marion Zakoor, his mother, Mrs. Agnes Munro, Roseland, Ontario; three brothers William and David, both of Roseland and James of Oakville. The body will be at Janisse Bros. Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue after noon Saturday. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Janisse Bros. Burial will be in Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
