I am looking for any information about the descendants of the above. He was born in 1868 and emigrated from Bristol England to Canada around 1906-08. He was a widower and emigrated with 4 children. His wife was my great grandmother who was a single parent with a 5 year old daughter (my grandmother) when he married her in 1890. She died in 1902. My grandmother remained in England. Her four half siblings were William H Murch born approx 1890/1, Selina E Murch (who I believe was known as Nelly)born approx 1893, Edward James born 1895 and Florence born approx 1900. I know they were in Wingham Ontario in 1915. My mother, now a spritely 96 year old, remembers Edward visiting her when he returned to England that year as a member of the Canadian forces during WW1. He brought her and my aunt (94 not out) a doll each and promised them prams to push them in when he came back. Sadly he was killed at the age of 20 only 3 months later and is buried in Boulogne, France. His name is on the Wingham War Memorial with the wrong year of death (1917 instead of 1915). My mother thinks the family may have gone to the Winnipeg area but is not sure. I would love to hear from any descendants of the rest of the family and have lots of information about the English branch.
