I have run aground in my research for the the above Mark Murrell, His marriage cert says he married Mary Ann Corderoy on 25th December 1866 in Lewisham and his father was also Mark Murrell, I cant find a trace of either Mark Murrells any where prior to an 1881 Census for Mark and Mary and their family in Greenwhich. This clearly says Mark was born in 'Pill Down Sussex' which is a spelling error meaning Piltdown. I am a little baffled as to why neither of them show on any census prior or BMD records to 1881. Consequently I dont know of any of his siblings. Alan
