hello Laurie, my grandmother was a Musante, Candida (born in Maconesi ~ 189?). She had at least two sisters that I know of Ida (New Jersey) and Nina (remained in Italy) plus brothers. She had cousins (Musantes) in western Mass. Holyoke area, and one relative that moved to California back about 1920. There used to be a Musante Oil Co. in Holyoke that was a relation.
