I have seen mention several times on various web sites that Ann Musgrove, widow of Edward Musgrove of Union SC, married (2nd) David Smith of Union County and that in 1817 she "applied for a pension based upon the services of David Smith of Padgett's Creek MM."

I am trying to track down a specific reference to this pension application so that I can order a copy. Does anyone have any clues that might help? I am hoping someone will have some specifics, even if you don't have the pension number. I'd be glad to share whatever info I can find.
