Coetta Dingus Mussell, 65, of Shelby, beloved wife of James Mussell and mother of Mark Mussell, passed away to her eternal rest unexpectedly Sept. 30, 2004 in Muskegon, Mich.
Her husband and son remain to carry on her traditions of family and love for her grandchildren, Devin, Olivia and Victoria Mussell and her daughter-in-law, Susan. She is also survived by her stepmother, Karen Fleming of Virgie, Ky.; three brothers, Benjamin (Darlene) Fleming, Timothy (Dottie) Fleming and John Fleming all of Virgie; Aunt Leone and Uncle Burley Moore of Virginia and extended family.
Mrs. Mussell was born Oct. 28, 1938 in Clintwood, Va. She married James Mussell April 24, 1974. She lived in Byron Center, Mich. from 1974 to 1995. She lived in Virgie from 1995 to 2000 before coming to Oceana County. Mrs. Mussell was a member of the Oceana Center Grange. The funeral service was Monday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sterken officiating. Burial was in Oceana Center Cemetery.
