PERRYSVILLE: Reda J. Mutchler Herlihy, 82, of Perrysville, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 2012 in Samaritan Regional Health System, after a short illness.
Reda was born Feb. 15, 1930 in Lake Township, Ashland County, Ohio and was the daughter of the late William A. and Ada Margaret (Hofer) Snyder.
She lived in the Loudonville, Ohio area most of her life and was a 1947 graduate of Loudonville High School.
She graduated in 1965 from Mid-Ohio Practical Nursing School and was an LPN at Mansfield General Hospital, Richland Hospital, Crestwood Care Center of Shelby, and Woodlawn Nursing Home of Mansfield, Ohio.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, serving on the Church Council and Worship Committees. During her retirement, she had been a volunteer for MedCentral Mansfield Health System.
Reda is survived by 4 sons: David (Nette) Mutchler, Don (Sue) Mutchler, Terry Mutchler, all of Loudonville, Ohio and Roger (Carla) Mutchler of Dalton; 2 daughters: Jane Mutchler of Eagan, MN and Deb Mutchler of St. Louis, MO; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother: Ray Snyder of Clearwater, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul J. Herlihy, 5 brothers: Ross, Robert, Herbert, Gene, and Billy Snyder; and 3 sisters: Selma Obrecht, Betty Power, and Wava Koch.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30th at 11:00 AM in Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville with Rev. Scott Henderson officiating.
Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
