I must have been given incorrect info for my Family Tree database. I have those 13 children, including Rita Helfrich and Eugene Helfrich as children of Jacob Helfrich and Gertrude Mueth - but I do remember my mother talking about a family of children who were left in an orphanage. Unfortunately, my mother and the uncle who gathered this info (and most of that generation) died over many years ago.
