Re: Muth genes
Petra Gibson:
My ancestors lived in Bad Homburg very near Bad Vilbel and just north of Frankfurt. My g-grandfather was Jakob Ludwig Muth the 5th of 7 sons and the 7th of 9 children. He was born 1826 and emigrated 1853. His father was Johan Jost Muth born 1785 and mother Magdelena Ebelt Married 1818. The next generation back was Johan Muth and served as Hessen solder, captured in the Battle of Trent, served the Continental Army, discharged 1783 and returned to Germany. I traveled to Germany, looked up the records in the Luthern Church and have names and dates for the entire family. The other names are Maria Elizebeth, Johan Joseph, Johan Daniel, Johan Heinrich, Dorothea Magdelena, August, Johan Fredrick, Katherina Anna. I also have the complete list of decendants of Jakob Ludwig in America. We were the only Muth family in town during the 1800s. I would like to compare notes with you or anyone with Muth ancestry in the Bad Homburg area during the 1800s.
