The book that you are looking for is "A Historical Notice of Joseph Mygatt". It was published in 1852 by Frederick Mygatt. It tells of Joseph coming to Cambridge, MA in 1632 and later being one of the founders of Hartford, CT. Very interesting if you are in to Mygatt history.

I have a copy if you would like a lookup.

I do still have the invitation. However, I have moved recently and I'm not sure where it is, so it may take me a couple of weeks to find it. As soon as I find it, I'll post a message at ancestry.com and let you know. Then we can figure out how you want me to send you the copy. Okay?

Hey Cliff

Are you the Cliff Mygatt that was born in Lompoc, California? You
have two sisters and one brother? If you aren't, then just disregard
the rest of this message. If you are then please read on:

Are you sure you're Darren's Uncle? I do believe we cousins.
I have been swapping emails with a Tim Mygatt. He has info on the
Mygatts from 1637 to 1840. I sent him the info Darren put
here to see if he can tie our families together. Tim's sending me
a wedding invitation from 1903 for the marriage of Pansy Towner
to Lt. Leonard Judson Mygatt in New York. I thought this was pretty bizarre.
Who knows, Jim and I might be cousins.

Well I'll talk to you later.

Kathy (Kim)

Hi, the reason I'm asking is because I was sent a wedding invitation from Leonard's wedding a while ago. This is interesting to me because my maiden name is Mygatt and I married a Towner. I'd like to trace the Mygatt side (I have already traced the Towner side) to see how it all fits in.

Thanks for answering my plea for help.

Mr. Pace,
I believe I am researching the same family. I have an Annie Iscar Mygatt born on December 12, 1864 at Morehouse Parish, Louisiana to Robert Mygatt and Ann Gallagher. She married William Enoch Bell and died on January 31, 1935 at MerRouge, Louisiana of a Cerebral Hemorrhage at 70 years old. I know nothing of her siblings and would be most grateful if you could help with that. Laura Engel

info please

I am tracing my husband's fammily history for
him and would appreciate any info that will
help in our search.
His grandfather's name is Ernest Mygatt
and lived at East st.louis,IL at some point and at or around Pine Bluff, AR and the southern IL areas of Sessor and/or West Frankfort. he was married to a Stella - she
died and his next wife was named Daisy Dell
Jacques Mygatt. We believe that he was born
in 1891 and died in december of 1956.
While living in the Pine Bluff,Ar area
he and Daisy adopted a son ( his birth date as far as we know is 3/30/1933 - they named
him William Sidney). He had a sister named Mae and Marie and a brother named William.
