Trevor - Thank you for your message to me about the probable origin of Noechel. I have reached a total dead end with this, the only time I see the name listed is on my grandmother's death certificate. She was born and raised in Champaign, IL so it is possible the family is linked. If you come across a Frank in the family I would really love to know about it. I have no idea when or where Frank Noechel died and so I have not located any kind of death certificate on him. And obviously if he died prior to the state mandated reports of death, I may not be able to confirm anything anyway. Unfortunately my father died well before I had any interest in genealogy and my grandmother died before I was born.

I am searching for any information anyone has regarding the Nachel family of Chicago, IL. I have Johann (or John Henry) Nachel and his wife Bertha Hintz on census records. I also am aware of two of their five children: John W. Nachel and Edward Robert Nachel.

Any additional information regarding descendants of this family or ancestors of this family would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if you happen to be related let me know. I am working on the genealogy for this family for my wife.
