I am looking for information on William McMullen he was born in 1819 Whitehaven Cumberland. His father was William as well, on William's marriage cert his father was a marinor.

William McMullen was a mariner and married a Dorset girl called Mary Harland D.O.B. 1819 she was born in Poole Dorset. William lived the rest of his life in Dorset.

What I would like to no is who William's mother was and were his parents were born.

I have looked on the census for 1841 and there is a family living in Whitehaven William McMullen (seinor) is in the Army and William (Junior) is a ballif, his mother is called Mary and was born in Ireland.I am not sure if this is the same William I am looking for.
