If you are referring to the Marcus Lafayette Nance of Ripley, Tippah, MS that removed to Tampa and passed away on 11 March 1928, then your birth year is incorrect. His obituary can be found in the Tampa Morning Tribune for Monday, 12 March 1928 on page 2, column 4. This obituary menitons survivors as his widow, a son, C. L. Nance and two daughters, Mrs. D. F. Owens and Mrs. G. F. Grant. There is a follow-up article on 22 March regarding probate and his Will which mentions a widow and 13 grandchildren and, it appears, that his son & sons-in-law are executors.
