NANCE, Robert F. 87, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday March 31, 2013.
He was born May 21, 1925 in Oak Hill, Ohio, (Jackson County) the son of Joseph and Carrie (Dulaney) Nance.
Robert served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wasp and the USS Hornet.
He was retired from Navistar. He was a member of the U.A.W. Union Local 402
He was an active member of the Sportsman's Club, enjoying fishing and bow hunting.
Survivors include children; Jeanetta Eva (Robert) VanHoose and Winifred (Willie) Bryant, all of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren; Shelli and Mike Crotty, Kathy and Shane Finney, Jami Hutcherson, and Lisa Jennings, great grandchildren; Shelby, Mandy, Emily, Brittany, Jamie, Brooke, Jordan, Austin, Laureen, Hayden, Regan, Paige, Sierra, Andrew, and Shane, great great granddaughter; Kylie, special family members; Mike and Tom Nance, Heather Langen, Haley Kimble, and Debbie Sarven, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Roberta Nance in 1995, son; Dennis Nance, sisters; Marjorie Rittel and Lola Patterson, brother; Edward Nance, and granddaughter; Bobby Jo Pendleton.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor David VanHoose officiating.
Burial will follow in Newcomers Cemetery.
