According to Uncle "Artie VIRGIL Naramore" records there were four Naramore brothers that came to America and were in N.C. then S.C. Eventually ended up in Alabama. There they went their seperate ways. They were Reuben, George, William and Thomas. Reuben made Alabama home. The other three went West and Reuben never heard from them again. Reuben married Polly Ann Johnston. They had Thomas, Alex, Dotson (Dodson), Marth, Octavia and Catherine. Reuben was in the Confederate Army and died at Pilot Knob in Missouri. (My husband's grandfather, Lucious said he died of something like the measles....He said his grandfather was William THOMAS Naramore) William Thomas Naramore's wife was Mary Elizabeth Earnest. There children were James, Reuben, William, Brady, Harley, Virgil and Lucious. The girls were Catheryn (died young), Martha Jane Snow and Hattie Gilbert. Back to Polly Johnston... Her parents were Jesse Johnston and Barbara LaGrone. (LaGrones are said to be from Holland and she had two brothers-Adam and Kuhn). Does this help anybody? :) If it does? I sure would love some more info for our tree now! This all came from cemetary records and verbal interviews with grandfather Lucious Naramore of Walker County Alabama and letters from "Uncle" Virgil Naramore.
