I too am tryiny to find info on the father of Edward Narramore (1735-1794)and his spouse Martha Mary Myers.
I had some family lore that said Edward's grandfather was a privateer and capt. of the Lark. He was said to have been hanged in Boston.
I just found an interesting piece on a Bostin native, Richard Narramore who was capt. of the Sparrow. He went on trial in 1687 for transporting pirates from Barbados to the East Coast. He wasn't hanged though. Released for lack of evidence and no witnesses. But a strangely similar story!
Another source said this Richard Narramore married a Hannah and of his many children there were two sons - James, b. 4 May 1674; and John, b. 10 Sept. 1676. Could either of these be the father of Edward Narramore?
Hope to hear from anyone with therories or facts concerning this family.
