I would like to know if anyone could provide me with the birth year and also the death year of Anna M. Nash, who was the daughter of James N. Nash (1756-1823) and Hannah Hess (1752-1846).

James N. was the son of James Nash (1727-1778) and Margaret Thompson (1727-1810). The family was originally from Braintree, Mass., and migrated to Herkimer County, NY, in the late 1700's.

Anna was one of nine children born to James and Hannah Nash.

Thank you!
Clayton Webster Nash - Burbank, CA?

Looking for information on my paternal grandfather, Clayton W. Nash, born sometime 1911-1917, married Jeanne Senjen in ~1942-1943, they had one son, Clayton Webster Nash III (born 1943 - my father). Around 1949-50, they divorced and my father and grandmother moved to Iowa, where she was from.
She re-married to Robert James Kerns (born Iowa 1917). I am Sean Robert Kerns, son of Clayton Webster Nash III. His name was changed to Kerns when my grandmother re-married and my father was adopted b Robert James Kerns.
I know nothing of Clay Nash beyond that, but would love any information on him as his life before or after.
Thanks.

Census Record - Patrick Nash

I am trying to tie down my great-great-grandfather's parents. I am just using the census figures as I am not in NYC to go look up death records or birth records.
So looking at census records from 1880 I see Patrick and Sarah Nash, with an approximate birth date around 1854, maybe 1851.
I look at the 1860 census and I see a Patrick at 10y.o. parents Ann and Patrick 28 and 50 respectively. Brother, James is 4.
Skip ahead to 1870 and I see a Patrick as the Head of the household and 19. Then an Ann who is 50 and a John who is 14.
Do you think this could be the same family? Or should I wait till I get to NYC and look for death certificates since I notice that Patrick and Sarah are in the 1910, but not the 1920 census. How hard is it to look through a decade of death certificates in the Vital Records of NYC?

I, too, am related to Francis Nash (d. 1713 Braintree MA) through his son John.
I am interested in which wife had which children.
I have first wife, Elizabeth Purchas, had 7 children: Elizabeth, Samuel, Thomas, Margaret, John, Benjamin, James
And 2nd wife, Mary Purchas Niles, had Mary, Benjamin, James.
I have conflicting birth dates for these children.
Can you help?
Do you still have that book on MA and ME Nashes? Could you copy it for me and I can send you a check for the copying costs. Perhaps I could help you sometime also.
A

I believe we are searching the same family line. James Nicholas Nash DOB 1857 - 1859) had a daughter named Agnes Winnifred Nash (DOB June 19, 1895 or 96)which is the line I am working on. As of the 1901 Canadian Census, James Nash and Mary Walsh had Thomas William Roth, Mary, Joseph A., Vincent (aka vincin, vinciente), and Agnes Winnifred(aka Agness). Contact me for further information (gailickgirl@yahoo.ca)

What other information do you have on Edmund B Nash? I have an Edmond B Nash b. betw 1832-1837 in North Carolina who is enumerated as the son of John Nash in Chambers County, Alabama in 1850, then in Monroe County, Mississippi 1860-1870, Lee County, MS-1880, Monroe County-1900. His age is somewhat inconsistent throughout the years thus the wide range in his year of birth. His wife's name in 1870-1900 is given as Rena, Irene and Irena. I do not see any child named Simpson Jones though.

Thanks for the shot in the dark - you never know what or who you might hit :-)

Hello, I do know these Nash's, they were my grandparents. They had a daughter, Stella (Estella) Louise and a son, Buford Augustus, Jr., my father. Sr was the 15th of 16 children of Simpson Jones and Hettie Palmer Nash who moved to Greenville, Texas from North Carolina. Stella Myrtle was a Bucy, daughter of William Alonzo and Stella Florence Bucy. I also have their gravestones on my family tree - Nash/Alexander Extended Family. Feel free to see if anyone on my rather large list happens to be part of your family.

Are you also from Texas or just visiting?

Fran

All I can find on him is that information and one son, Edmund B. married to Tobitha(Tabitha) Smith. Two of their sons, Albert Fletcher and Simpson Jones (my great-grandfather) moved their families to Texas after the Civil War. Any information pertaining Williiam Nash would be greatly appreciated as I have been hunting for information for years.

Fran

A shot in the dark here since your posting was several years ago. My gggrandfather was Simpson Jones Nash, son of Edmund B. Nash. He and his brother Albert Fletcher moved to Texas from NC a few years after the Civil War. Sounds like we are related.

Frances Nash

Looks like it's not a match for our families. My Edmund lived between 1796 and 1876, born in VA and lived in Stanly Co, NC. He married Tobitha Smith in 1825. His father was William. Earlier in the thread was a mention of Edmund who had sons move to Texas. One of those sons would have been my ggrandfather, S.J. (Simpson Jones) Nash.

As you say, you never know when that elusive piece of information will crop up. I do know the Nash family was very prolific. Good luck to us all.

Hello, have my suspicions that Mary Nash b 1786 is the sister of WIlliam Nash b 1779. William King was witness to the marraige of William Nash and Lucy Knight in Westbourne 24 Oct 1810. My connection is direct to William Nash - have you had any luck going any further with this?
