On the RootsWeb WorldConnect site, someone has posted a birthdate and ancestry for the John Nate who married Ellen Prosser and lived (among other places) in Illinois.
http://navigation.helper.realnames.com/framer/1000/default.a...The birthdate suggested is 22 Jul 1800. This contradicts the 1850 Illinois census, which states he is 45. It gives his father as John NEATE b: 9 May 1776 Bishops Canning, England.
Does anyone know of any data to back this up?
