James NAYE was born in Ireland, parents unknown. He married Margaret GIBSON,also from Ireland. They had children, all born in Ireland;
James born about 1840, died 1871 in PA. Married Jane Hewitt and had 4 children.

Mary Jane NAYE married Ephraim HEWITT

Samuel NAYE died 1889

Sarah NAYE married Thomas PHIPPS, 4 children

Lizzie NAYE married Richard MORELAND

The family was possibly from Edergol, County Cavan, Ireland.

Found in Montgomery County, PA

James Naye, Declaration on Intent, filed 24 August 1866, native of County "Kavin" Ireland, landed at the Port of New York in Sept. 1858, resided in the Borough of Bridgeport, Montgomery Co., PA in 1866, was about 27 years old.

Mary Jane NAYE- Ireland to PA

Mary Jane Naye was born 4 Aug 1846 in Ireland, daughter of James and Margaret Gibson NAYE. She came to the USA about 1860-1865. She married Ephraim Hewitt about 1871 and the family lived in and around Montgomery County, PA. She died in 1926.
Her children were William James Hewitt, Samuel Gibson Hewitt and Blanche Hewitt.
I would love to hear from anyone who has information on the Naye and/or Hewitt families.
