Yes, Nesselrodt was changed through the generations to Nazelrod, Neselrod, Naselrod, Neselroad, Naselroad ect.... I have most of the generations down from Frederick in Virginia B; 1745. Most stayed in the Virginia / West Virginia area but one of Fredericks son's and a Grandson moved to the midwest and muptipied big time (George). We have relatives in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arizona. I'm sure there are Nazelrods and Neselroad in just about every state today but about 70% can be traced back to Frederick.

My wife is the 5th Great Grand-daughter of Frederick:
Frederick - George - William - James - William A - William H - Daniel - Gina

Hi Sandra, My father was Ralpheard Nazelrod son of John Wesley Nazelrod. Paul Ford Sr. is my Uncle. Do you know the story of how he got his middle name of Ford? My grandma told me the story and I would love to share.

There was a Richard and Mary J. Nazelrod. My Great-grand parents. They both past in the ninety's. They lived here in Paw Paw, WV. I never heard them speak of any relatives lost though.

Amanda Snyder was my great grandmother. Her daughter, my grandmother, was Martha Viola Parker Nazelrod. Apparently she was born before Charles Nazelrod married Amanda. Do you have any information on MArtha? She was married to Tom Bean of Mt JAckson, Va.

My Nesselrodt, lived in Southern Illinois, do not know their lives before, except Andrew J. born 1814 in Germany, was in 1870 Illinois Census. Children, John Valentine, Anna Maria, Catherina . There are some graves with Henry.Mary George F 1881 and Andrew A. So far can not link them to ours,. If you have any of these name, would appreciate help, and I will be glad to give you what liitle I have. Thanks, Betty

I had to stop looking, ran into so many brick walls, sorry, did not answer you. My father was a Nesselrodt. The names you gave me did not match mine. Thanks anyway. I need Andrew, Valentine, and Jackson Nesselrod, and etc spellings . They lived in southern Illinois.

Yes, that is the one I'm looking for. Do you have any info on his ancestry? My Dad has researched his but he is mostly interested in the male side and Amos Nesselrotte is his Mother's side and I'm having a hard time finding anything. I have some pictures of them if you are interested (don't know if you are interested in branching out that far). If so let me know. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

No that is the wrong Amos. I have an Amos ,b. 5 Feb 1866 Pendleton Co, WV; d. 28 Feb 1942. Married to Alice Leverna Knight ,25 March 1890, in Braxton Co, WV.Could this be your Amos. He is my Amos nephew.

Hi Sandra, I found John Wesley in the family tree, but no Paul Ford. Only 2 children listed for John. John's father Amos Wesley/ Wesley Amos was my g-grandfather. So that makes Sidney my first cousin. E-mail me at my address and I'll see what I can do to help you.
I couldn't find John Andrew or James, but the name is spelled so many ways I couldn't check them all.
Our line started in Germany, but he came over in 1776.

Thanks for answering. John Andrew or Andrew John, born 1815 in germany, married Anna Schuchart, Andrew, maybe a bother to above, born 1835 Germany. Henry born1832 in Germany. Can find no kin to mine, but they must be only living a few miles from each other. Henry I mean. Thanks again.

I am trying to find my Nesselrodt ancestors. They lived in southern Illinois, do not know where they came from except Germany. The spelling I have is as above. Men`s name were John, Andrew, or combined , John Valentine. They were on 1870 Cencus of Pope County, Illinois. Also a Henry the spelling do vary. I am Robert Nazelrod's son Robert Steven Nazelrod and my uncles were and are Ernie and Derl. I live in Taos, NM.My Brother is Dennis Russell Nazelrod and Iwent to Cumberland, MD a few years ago and found a cousin who had a shop downtown.

your line is also my line. i believe i spoke via e-mail with possibly a brother, "ray". my grandmothers family also came from paw paw. my gmother's name was louristine arretta nazelrodt-durr. her father was a german, named adam durr. lori's mother was may violet nazelrodt, and i believe she died in oklahoma, while living with one of her other daughters. lori married charles barnes, brother of her step-father. lori had 14 children, one of which is my mother, patricia. 2 of lori's children died in infantcy, and one is buried in paw paw, which i believe your father, will tell you of that burial that finally was disturbed by a hunter. that child's name should have been robert or jimmy nazelrodt ( i don't think lori was married at that time). if this is the same info you have, let me know, and we'll see what we can do. beth

Sidney has one brother Paul Jr. dob October 11,1944. Paul Jr. has 3 children. Paul sr. was married to joyce k. young on April 9,1942 she died August 22, 1999. We live in Oakland Maryland , Garrett County.

i stumbled upon this websight after a conversation my father and i had the other evening about our family history. his name is Daniel Ray Nazelrod, Jr., he was born in Paw Paw, WV; his father is Daniel Ray Nazelrod, Sr. son of Edward D. Nawelrod. Ed is the son of Amanda (Snyder). her father was Corbin W. Snyder. born in 1829. are these the same relatives whose information you referred to in the posted message? if so, could you send me your extensive list of "Nazelrods"? i am very interested in making up a family tree of my own to carry on to my children. thank you so much!
